Use and Care
When storing foods or other items in the container, leave a ¼” or 1 cm of empty space between the interior lid bottom and the container contents to allow for a good strong vacuum seal.
When you are ready to seal your container:
1. Place your container on a firm and level surface and place a lid firmly in place on top of the container.
2. Firmly press down on the built-in lid pump as far as it will go and release – repeat until you feel increased resistance and check to see if the lid will open easily. If the lid opens easily, repeat the pumping process. When the lid no longer opens easily, you are ready to store your container.***
To open the container:
3. Press down and hold the Lid Release Push Button allowing air to re-enter the container. Once the pressure inside the container is equalized, carefully open your container. This should not take more than 3 to 5 seconds.
NOTES: ***The number of pump pushes required to properly seal your container will vary depending on the size of the container used and the amount and type of material stored in the container. This is normal. After pumping, the push pump surface part may not return to its original position – this is normal and will not affect performance of the system. The push pump part may return to its original position during storage – this is normal and will not affect performance of the system. The push pump part will return to its original position when the container pressure release button is activated and pressure within the container is normalized allowing the lid to open effortlessly.
To prevent damage to the lid structure when removing the vacuum sealed containers from the freezer, please allow the container to rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes prior to attempting to remove the lid.
**Results and length of storage time will vary depending on food, proper use and care and length of storage time.
NOTE: LIDS ARE NOT MICROWAVEABLE. DO NOT PUT LIDS INTO THE MICROWAVE AS YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR LIDS AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY. ONLY THE CONTAINER BODIES ARE MICROWAVEABLE.
CARE: Please wash your new containers and lids following the directions below before first use.
DO NOT PLACE THE LIDS IN THE DISHWASHER
Lids are hand wash only – do not allow lids to soak in water. To prevent water from entering the lid compartment, avoid rinsing the lid top under flowing water. Use a soft wet cloth with mild detergent to clean. Rinse lightly, and dry immediately. Containers (only) are top rack dishwasher-safe.
